…to highlight CID products & services

CID Brochure page 1

Front page of the CID Brochure.

Description: This 8-page marketing brochure was written to help publicize the products and services of the Center for Instructional Design (CID) internally to the BYU community. After the introduction on the first page, each page offers a CID product or service, with a description of the service, a bullet list of offerings, and a graphic of an example.

My Roles/Contributions: With co-workers at CID, I wrote the text and lists of the brochure, (writing/editing); I identified the graphics and examples for each product and service, and did the layout and graphic design for the of the booklet.

Graphic Details: The layout was to have an open, inviting look with lots of white space. Keeping each product and service to a single page was intended to make it as easy to navigate as possible, with examples “boxed” to make them stand out. A squarish 7″x 8.5″ format was chosen to maintain the open feel while allowing for a lot of information, and for ease of production (the format is legal-sized paper folded in half and can be reproduced on most copy machines).

Writing Details: The writing style was intended to be both informative and persuasive. To that end, short sentences and paragraphs were generally used, and bullet points replaced longer explanatory text.
